WHAT TO EXPECT
Our Lord’s Day gatherings are centered upon two principles that we value highly; the genuine fellowship of the saints (Eph. 4:3), and the proclamation, explanation, and application of God’s Word in the hearing of His people (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 4:1-2). We have found that nothing feeds our souls like the regular celebration of these two biblical principles.
Each gathering begins with a full meal. Sharing table fellowship was a central practice in the life of the Church as presented to us in the Scriptures (Acts 2:40-47). As we share table, we share one another’s lives. Our Lord’s Day gatherings are not “rushed”─we all do plenty of that through the rest of our week. It’s not possible to “be the Church” if we don’t know one another, and there is no better way to help us all know one another than sharing table regularly.
Table fellowship is followed by a time of corporate worship. Our worship is comprised of prayers (Acts 1:14), Scripture readings (1 Tim. 4:13), biblical songs (Eph. 5:19), and the expository preaching of the Word*. People of all ages are welcome in this service (and no, young children are not expected to remain perfectly silent). Come dressed as you are, and come prepared to encounter the God of the Scriptures through His Word.
